KÖRÖM PÖRKÖLT - PIG FEET STEW2-3 lb cut up pig feet and shank
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
3 onion chopped
2 head of garlic chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1 or 2 hot chile pepper slized
1 tomato chopped
1 teaspoon of caraway seed
1-2 teablespoon red paprika
2 beef Boullion Cubes ( not nessesary but I like the taste better)
pinch of marjoram, thyme,
salt, black pepper to taste
In the oil satuate the chopped onion, add garlic, green pepper, tomato, chili pepper and satuate more till pepper is soft. Add pig feet stirring for couple of minutes add red paprika and cover with water.
Add salt, black pepper, caraway seed, marjoram, thyme and bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Cook 2-3 hours until pig skin is very soft. Add salt if need it. I always cook the potatos separate in salted water .
Best to serve it with pickles.
